5 Favorite Summer Trends

Happy June! Summertime is upon us, so I thought I’d share my top 5 favorite summer trends. I love trends, but I also love classic pieces that you’ll get to use season after season. So, I’d say I tend to follow the trends that I think might stick around for a bit. But at the end of the day, you’ve just got to choose pieces for your closet that you love and feel comfortable wearing. If you like bright colors but the trend is to wear white, then wear your colors boldly and with confidence. I think clothes are great and all, but it’s always more about clothes just complimenting the person that you already are on the inside. :)

One Piece Suits

Okay, I mean, we’ve all seen this video of the moms who expressed all of our thoughts on swim suit season. If you haven’t seen it, just watch it now. You’ll thank me later. With that being said, I love this solid one piece swim suit trend and I hope it stays.

Classic Trench Coat & Leopard Print

Happy Wednesday, friends! The weather went from covering our yard in icy snow two weekends ago to being in the 60s and 70s this past weekend. Honestly, I was kind of excited to have weather above freezing for a few days. Being a Florida girl and all, I’m still adjusting to lower temperatures and seasons that are not summer. 😉 I like our current weather because it’s a good excuse to break out my favorite khaki trench coat (and channel my inner Audrey Hepburn) while also trading in my winter boots for a pair of cute ballet flats. I think a staple in every girl’s closet should be a good pair of leopard print flats and a khaki trench coat.

Snow Day!

Last weekend, we had our first snow day of the year and I’d say it was one of my favorite weekends in a really long time. Atlanta pretty much looses its mind when it snows or ices, because none of us (except the northern transplants) know how to drive in snow so the roads shut down and you can only walk to places. Our other problem is that we end up with a lot of ice because the snow melts and quickly becomes not so fun. Thankfully, this snow storm wasn’t anything like they predicted and we got to enjoy a little wintery magic. Let’s be honest, we all turn into kids when it snows and I’m no exception. My favorite travel clothes

Hi friends!

You guys know I love to travel, but I think I love the planning part of traveling just as much as the trip itself. It’s a weird Type-A sort of thing. 😉 One of the most important parts of planning a trip is figuring out what to pack and how to pack. We love to pack our things in our Osprey backpacks, even for longer trips like our two week trip to Italy or trip to Seattle & Vancouver. Fall Fashion

I know, I know…it’s hard to think about fall and pulling your sweaters out of the closet when it’s still 95 degrees outside. But, I know fall is coming soon (crossing fingers). So, I decided to compile a few of my favorite fall pieces for you to check out. My all-time favorite place to shop for basics  would definitely be H&M, but I’ve linked a couple of other great stores, as well.  I like H&M because they are affordable and I feel like their stuff fits me well. I’m okay splurging on things I know will last a long time (like boots or jeans), but with my line of work, I don’t want to spend a fortune on clothes when they might get smeared with glue or things that come out of faces.
