Eloise’s Baby Video

You guys know that I love a good home video or a travel video, but I don’t think I’ve ever really explained why. I really wanted to make sure I documented Eloise’s early days (her birth story can be found here) in video form because my parents were so good at taking videos of us as kids. Those have been so much fun to watch as I’ve grown up and I wanted to make sure Eloise had something like that too. Oftentimes, the family members in my childhood videos aren’t around anymore so it’s always really special for me to get to see them on the screen. I think this has always helped encourage a sense of family and connections to those family members who have since passed away. We live in the age of cellphones where we can constantly reach for our phones and snap a photo or video, but I feel like we never do anything with them.  So, here’s the story of my pregnancy with Eloise and the first few weeks of her new life. :) When she watches this one day, I hope she is always reminded of how excited we were to meet her and how she’s always been such a joy for our family. Hope you enjoy and I’m excited to share more of these videos soon! Continue reading

Utah Family Video (Utah Part 3)

Hope you all are having a great week! If you didn’t catch my part 1 and part 2 of our Utah trip, check them out. We had a wonderful time on our last big trip before we become a family of three and this one was special because we got to share it with Matt’s side of the family. I love making travel videos, so I definitely wanted to make sure I documented this trip with a little video. Hope you enjoy!

Cheers,

Aubrey

Hi everyone!

We finally got around to posting our video from our Iceland adventures. We waited to post it for a very special reason….but you’ll have to watch all the way to the end of the video in order to see what we have to say. :) I promise to post photos and recommendations from our Iceland trip soon, but in the meantime, enjoy my all time favorite travel video!!

Ireland Video (Ireland Part 2)

Our Ireland Spring Break trip was such a sweet time and we loved everything about this country. The people were nice, the food was yummy, the streets were charming and the countryside even more beautiful. As with all of our trips, we always try to make a video documenting our adventures because I think it’s a really fun way to keep your memories. Hope you enjoyed Part I of our Ireland trip and stay tuned for photos of our Galway City and Cliffs of Moher day!

Meanwhile, here’s a video of our Ireland adventures! :)

Cheers! xx

Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver City Guide & Video

For the second half of our Northwest anniversary/birthday trip, Matt and I took a train to Vancouver, BC (check out the first half of our trip here). Oh, man. This place was incredible. I’ve heard Vancouver is just amazing, but sometimes, places don’t live up to all the hype. Well, I’d say Vancouver is the exception. It was every bit as beautiful and breathtaking as people say.

Enjoy a few notes on our favorite things to do while in Vancouver and recommendations for places to stay or eat. Also, we made a little video and included a few photos of our time exploring Vancouver and the island of Victoria. Hope you enjoy!

Here’s our video, press play :)

Seattle City Guide & Video

Because our anniversary and birthdays are so close together, we decided a while back that our gifts to each other would be in the form of trips. I’m a huge proponent of traveling, especially with your significant other for so many reasons. Besides the way it bonds you through experiencing new things together, traveling also provides a way for you to continue shaping your world view and view of yourself. Check out my past blog posts about our favorite way to pack (in backpacks) and how we plan trips.

For this trip, we decide we wanted to go somewhere completely different than where we’ve previously been. And I think we picked the perfect place. We settled on a trip to Seattle and then taking the train to Vancouver for a few days. April is just one of the best times to travel because it’s part of the shoulder season (cheaper and less busy), plus this part of North America was just bursting with spring. To say we loved our time in the Northwest would be an understatement. We may or may not have come home from our trip dreaming about moving there one day. 😉

Here’s our video, press play :)

Our 1st Anniversary

This past Monday, Matt and I celebrated our first year of marriage. I just can’t even believe we’ve been married for an entire year already. It’s been the sweetest year with lots of challenges, laughter, joy, growing and learning. There’s no one I would rather have by my side as I try to figure out life. Here’s a look back on our wedding day and what I had to say about being married for 6 months! Also, here’s a video of our wedding day. It still makes me cry a bit 😉

ATL Family Weekend

The best time is always the time that’s well spent with the ones you love most. A few weekends ago, some of our siblings and niece came for a visit. Watching my niece grow up is one of the sweetest things and it’s true what they say about kids growing up too fast. I feel like Baby G was born yesterday. It’s also been really cool to see my sister and brother-in-law become such amazing parents to their little one. We know how important it is to make the most of the time we have together and document our little adventures. We took Gracyn on her first big Atlanta weekend tour. We went antique shopping, ate lots of good food, visited the Zoo Atlanta (a really great zoo as far as zoos are concerned), walked Piedmont Park and went down a million slides. 😉 Hope you enjoy this sweet video (and a few pictures too)!

Georgia Hiking Day

Last weekend, we went to a little mountain trail in North Georgia called Sawnee Mountain Preserve, but it’s also known as Indian Seats. Two of our best friends, Ashley & Nathan, were in town for New Year’s, so we decided it was a perfect time to explore this beautiful part of Georgia on an equally beautiful day. We finally had some cooolllddd weather so I was really excited to be outside! As always, I just had to take a few pictures and I even made a little video of our adventures. I’m glad I did, because I think this will be a day we look back on and cherish for years to come. Sometimes it’s the little adventures with lots of laughter and really awesome people that mean the most. Hope you enjoy!
