Yay for more nursery projects!! My last project was a DIY Baby Mobile, if you’d like to check it out. I’ve always been a huge etsy fan, but especially for art work and prints to hang just about anywhere in my house. I wanted to share a couple of cute etsy shops and show you where I found some of my favorite prints for the baby’s room!
Usually, I buy my etsy prints in digital form so I can print them through Shutterfly, Walgreens, Walmart or my recent favorite, Amazon Prints. If you have Amazon Prime, you get free shipping and they may still be running a few discounts with coupon codes. As part of a sign up bonus for registering with Amazon Baby, I got a free 8×10 canvas print and used it on the ballerina print. I was really happy with how this canvas print turned out! The floral print was printed through Walmart via Snapfish and I think they have really great prices.
I have to say that I’m not a huge fan of paying for expensive frames (unless you need a custom framing job), so I always check Hobby Lobby for sales or simply buy my frames at Goodwill. When I buy them at Goodwill, I either spray paint the frames or paint them with chalk paint. Most of the time, the glass will clean right up with Windex or soap. Here’s a post from the time I made a wall collage for my living room mostly using repainted frames from Goodwill. And, here are some of the frames I’ve found at Goodwill before they were painted.
For the baby’s nursery prints, I painted the frames with chalk paint. I love this kind of Americana chalk paint because it’s low odor, water-based, non-toxic and easy to use. You don’t have to prep or prime your project first. It’s also just so easy to wash the chalk paint off of your brushes! You can buy it at Hobby Lobby or just about any craft store, as well as Home Depot. I find it to be a better paint to use especially while pregnant. 😉
I’m excited to get all of these up on the walls as soon as all of her furniture is set up! Happy crafting and decorating, friends!
