The heat has really been kicking up lately here in Georgia and my belly has been growing by the day. With our first baby on the way and so many fun things to do in Georgia, I made it my mission this summer to make the most of all these cool adventure spots. I also wanted to scout out future places to take this baby next summer when she’s been out in the world for a few months. 😉 With the help of friends, I’ve been knocking things off my summer to-do list. Two things I really wanted to do this summer were visit Berry Patch Farms and the Anderson’s Sunflower Fields. They did not disappoint and neither did a few afternoons spent with my sweet friend, Kristin (who sweetly took most of these photos)!
At the end of this post, you can shop this look and find a few of my other summer recommendations. Also, I’ll be doing a post soon about my favorite summer maternity items!
This sunflower field was a summertime dream. It was in the 90s that day, but it was so worth the venture outside because we got to cut a few sunflowers and buy them before leaving the fields. My farmhouse table has never looked prettier with these beauties in the center.
Berry picking was an adventure, because these blueberry bushes were a lot more wild than the ones I used to pick from back in Florida. Also, as soon as we arrived, we were warned of poison ivy, so Kristin and I had to do a quick Google search to make sure we knew what poison ivy looked like, haha! Thankfully, we both came out of the berry patch with no poison ivy issues and a pound of blueberries for around $2. Me and this baby consumed all of our blueberries within 48 hours. 😉
