Happy 1st day of my favorite month of the entire year! To say I love Christmastime would be an understatement. The BEST. The very BEST. I’ve been listening to Christmas music for a while and am already making a list of all the fun Christmas stuff I plan to do this year.
I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but I genuinely love wrapping Christmas presents. One of my favorite things about this season is going out in search of the perfect gifts for family and friends, and then wrapping them in some really creative or DIY-ish way. Let’s just say I spend a lot of time on Pinterest as I prepare for Christmas. Haha. Anyway, here’s one of the many Christmas crafts I enjoy doing and it makes gift wrapping a little more colorful. Plus, it’s super easy.
Here’s what you’ll need: hot glue gun, ribbon, sparkles, sequins, buttons or other knickknacks, card stock paper, scissors, marker/Sharpie, hole puncher (to add a ribbon to attach gift tag to gift).

If you like crafts, you probably have a lot of ribbon and random helpful pretty things like I do. If you don’t, I highly recommend starting a collection and storing your craft supplies in a clear plastic tub. Now, I hardly ever have to buy anything for projects…because it’s somehow in my Mary Poppins’ craft box. Haha. :)

If you don’t need the hot glue gun for your sparkly and sequin items, you can use craft or jewelry glue. Whatever you have!
Here’s what I did with the supplies in order to make them into cute little gift tags. First, I folded my card stock paper into fourths and cut them. Then I started creating this…

To make the tree gift tags, I just cut ribbon at staggering lengths to create a tree. The stem is also a piece of ribbon and then the little sequin gets to be the star. Just a side note, hot gluing little pieces of ribbon takes lots of patience…haha.

I used jewelry glue for this one, because I didn’t feel like burning my fingers while trying to hot glue these babies.

I’m also a pretty big fan of this snowman gift tag. This one was simply just buttons, sparkles and a Sharpie.

I also used random items I found in my craft bin to make the one on the upper left. I’ll write who the gifts are to and from either on the front or back of these gift tags. :)
Cheers & happy Christmas crafting, friends!
